Project Description

This project included driven concrete piles, cast-in-place concrete substructure, structural steel girders, cast-in-place deck. This was the largest contract ever awarded by the Florida Department of Transportation, at the time of award. Specifics of the project are:

21 bridges, requiring 800,000 sf of bridge deck.

1.9 miles of roadway for I-95

One mile of roadway for I-595

Three-level interchange at I-905/SR-84

Four-level interchange at I-95 and I-595

Relocation of CSX railroad

Crash, fire & rescue bridge over I-95 to airport

Raising and widening of two existing precast AASHTO beam bridges

Demolition of two existing bridge structures
