Project Description
The Desert Dunes WRF facilities included construction of a new 3 MGD expandable to 12 MGD water treatment plant that includes construction of an off-site influent lift station. This includes new headworks, a nutrient removal aeration basin, aeration blower facility, sludge pumping facility, secondary clarifiers, sludge centrifuge facility and a UV disinfection facility. Also included is an odor control facility, and sample building with all related equipment and two electrical/control/power distribution centers. The 36th Street/Avenue 3E off-site influent lift station includes a wet well, mechanical equipment, an odor control facility, a chemical storage and metering station, and a control/electrical/power center building including standby power facilities. Also included is approximately 10 miles of associated underground and above ground piping, mechanical facilities, electrical and instrumentation. Sitework includes earthwork, excavation, landscaping, grading and paving, security fencing and a bridge over an adjacent BLM irrigation canal and associated stormwater retention.
